Summary

Electus Computers adds a complete in-game operating system to FiveM servers. Laptops, desktop computers and TVs all run the same OS, with windows, files, mail, a browser and more than 40 apps. Everyday software sits next to role-gated police and business tools and hacking software, and everything connects to your server's jobs, money, inventory and phones.

Features

One Operating System

Windows, a taskbar, notifications, files and settings are shared by every app, so players use it like a real computer without a tutorial.

40+ Built-In Apps

Includes Explorer, Documents, Mail, Browser, Cloud Drive, Gallery, Paint, Presentations, Map, Phone, Cast, Calculator, Notes, Settings and an Arcade with Snake, Pinball, Tunnel Rush and Missile Defense.

Persistent Hardware

Laptops in five finishes, desktop computers, TVs, routers, SIM cards, USB drives, USB cables, printers and card terminals. Every device carries a serial number and keeps its own files and settings.

Networking

Share a wifi network from a placed router, insert a SIM card for mobile internet, move files and software on 4 GB and 10 GB USB drives, and link computers and printers with cables.

TV Casting

Mount a TV on a wall and cast presentations, photos and screens to it for everyone in the room.

Printing

Print documents into inventory items that can be handed over, stored or shown to others.

Websites

The Browser opens your server's own websites and includes a website builder.

Hacking Software

Ten hacking programs, each with its own puzzle, rules and time limit: Port Breacher, Binary Decoder, Grid Recall, Color Cipher, Signal Matcher, Packet Router, Circuit Bypass, Credential Cracker, Firewall Sweep and Decryption Tool. Hacking software is bought in the in-game store, installed on a specific machine and takes up storage.

Intercepts and Surveillance

Intercept nearby calls and radio traffic with USB antennas, dump SMS from phones, reset phone passcodes and triangulate a phone's position.

Heat and VPN

Heat builds up as players operate, and a VPN reduces how much attention they draw.

Encrypted Marketplace

The Secure Browser opens an encrypted marketplace where lots are auctioned for C-coin and collected at a drop, and a hacking wiki that sells guides.

Police Tools

Role-gated police software with a tracking map, phone lookups and an evidence board.

Business Tools

Businesses get a storefront website for orders and bookings, a Boss Menu, and a Checkout page that takes payments on a card terminal cabled to the computer. Realtors list homes and commercial property on a real estate website.

Laptop Repair and Upgrades

Laptop parts wear down and break. Technicians open laptops at a repair bench to replace or upgrade the battery, processor, cooling, SSD, wifi card, display and security chip.

Digital Den MLO

Includes the Digital Den, an electronics store interior in West Vinewood with a working counter computer, a card terminal and a repair workshop.

Developer API

Add your own app to every computer with one export, sell it in the in-game software store and exchange messages with your Lua code. Create computers and install or remove apps from the server for jobs, shops and rewards.

Automatic Database Setup

Tables are created and updated automatically on start. Expired Cloud Drive sessions, share links, uncollected prints and cooled-down heat are cleaned up in the background.

Admin Logging

Logs actions through the configured logging service, including Discord, ox_lib or Fivemanage.

Usage

Use a Laptop

Players use a laptop item to open it anywhere. Each laptop keeps its own files, apps and settings.

Place Computers and Devices

Place desktop computers, TVs, routers and printers from the inventory. Admins can also place persistent computers in the world.

Set Up a Computer

A new computer starts with a short setup where players name it and pick a wallpaper.

Install Software

Players buy apps and hacking programs in the in-game software store and install them on the machine they are using.

Connect Devices

Plug USB drives, antennas and SIM cards into a computer, and cable computers, printers and card terminals together through Manage ports.

Take Payments

Employees ring up sales on the Business app's Checkout page and the customer pays on the cabled card terminal.

Repair Laptops

Technicians fit replacement and upgrade parts at a repair bench.

Manage Computers

Staff use /computersadmin to open the admin panel.

Requirements

Requires electus_core, ox_lib and oxmysql.

Frameworks

Supports ESX, QB-Core and Qbox.

Inventories

Requires an inventory with item metadata: ox_inventory (recommended), qb-inventory, qs-inventory, core_inventory or tgiann-inventory.

Phones

Optional integration with LB Phone, RoadPhone or YSeries for the Phone app, SMS dump and phone features. A few phone features differ by phone.

Voice

Optional pma-voice support for call and radio intercepts.

Targeting

Supports ox_target, qb-target and qtarget, with markers and key prompts as a fallback.

Permissions

Admin access can be controlled through the electus_computers.admin ACE permission and framework groups.

Localization

All text is translatable through locale files.
